Easter

So there I was heading to Georgetown with Trish and her brother Justin for Easter lunch. Her mom had decided to move it dinner to lunch so we could spend more time at the hash. While on the way, I made the holiday phone calls to my family, never did get ahold of my mom (sorry mom meant to call you back later in the day). When we arrived, the food was almost ready, chicken fried venison, corn, mashed potatoes and garlic bread. The food was really good, kind of a little too heavy before a hash, but I still ate a lot. Her mom brought out baskets full of candy for the family, I even got one. Before we left, Trish and her mom had to run by her moms office to retrieve Trish's glasses (she had left them in Pornarotti's SUV during TXIH and being the good brother he is, he fed ex'd them to her mom instead of her). So this means I get some quality time with her dad, which was kind of cool. Her parents are pretty cool, they produced two hashers, two out of three kids isn't too bad.

After we left her parents, we dropped Justin off and then headed for the hash. I must say the trail for last years red dress hash was pretty cool, good start location, ran right past Marleyfest, down SOCO to Cadaver Divers and Head Bangers house. This year it totally sucked, start East Austin (I thought Head Banger was going to make it a red dress/malt liquor hash). Through East Austin; boy Mexicans sure know how to celebrate Easter and they don't really like a bunch of gringo's running through their neighborhood in red dresses on a holy day. Last year people were cheering us on taking pictures, it was a good time. This year, we were scowled at, yelled at, I even think I saw some guy throwing out gang signs. This of course made me think of Vag's blog shirt she posted and I was trying to figure out if I could spell out On-On with my fingers gang style.

By the end of the red dress run, we were all hot and sweaty, first real hot day in Austin, plus red dresses are not the best clothes to run in. Trish and I decided to bail on circle and headed to my place to get cleaned up. We then hit up Bangkok Cuisine for some Thai food. This was Trish's first sample of Thai food, other than what we had at TXIH. She really liked it. I loved the fact that she was willing to try some of the more exotic things on the menu as opposed to be conservative on what she wass ordering. I am pretty daring when I eat, so dating someone who is willing to try new things will make life more interesting.

After Thai, it was back to my place to watch Taken, we have almost made it through the entire series.

I didn't hash because my wearing a red dress on Easter just didn't seem appropriate. That and I felt like I'd be going to hell when they sang that Jesus song.

LOL on above comment.

Glad you had a great day. Hopefully her first sushi experience would be Nat's.

Glad to hear it went well. Are you going to share your candy with us?

well since I don't eat candy, that is a definite possibility. But Trish grouped all our candy together so it looks like it is up to her

So did her parents accuse you of being a Cradle Robber? Or are they hoping you'll be her sugar daddy and off their payrole?
