2nd Post in a week

Since I am posting, it appears I made it to work today. Today has been quite interesting, I received a call and an email from our training group. Seems I applied for some position and I have to interview for it next week. Don't even remember applying, so this should be fun.

At lunch, saw my favorite homeless guy, he had a new sign or one I have not seen before. It said, "I do not suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it." The next interesting thing to happen, when I walked into my favorite Mexican place they had a Spanish version of Jerry Springer. It was hilarious, they would let the people fight a little longer than Springer. The next show was some Spanish dating game based on Zodiac signs, it was quite interesting.

While I was eating, some woman just broke out sobbing, it was quite sad, because it looked as if she and the person she was dining with had just escaped from One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I wonder what the rest of the day holds for me.

New Post

So everyone has been saying to post, well here it is. Some of you wonder why I have not been posting much, well the answer is simply, I post while at work. I have been out of the office a lot the past few months, getting used to new schedule and new meds. Yeh I love being bipolar.

I will start off slow, while driving back to work today, I heard Don't Fear the Reeper. All I have to say is, "MORE COWBELL!"
Lunch was at one of my usual spots, cannot spell the name so won't even try. All I have to say is it is near Chon Som and the salsa verde rocks.

So what is new in my life. I have been seeing someone, I have not rushed in and asked her to marry me, like I have in the past. Actually we are kind of taking things slow, things are not even defined. We have no plans for the future, I think once we stop having fun with each other, things will be over, I don't see that happening anytime soon, because I have a blast with her.

The last thing I would like to say is this weekend is the Second Annual Chuck Norris Hash! Hares C'em Cummin, Strap-on Elvis, She Mussel Bitch and of course myself. I will try to get the artwork converted to jpeg and uploaded today. This hash rocked last year and this year will be even better.

Okay, could not find the artwork, only the top 10 list and cannot release that info till the day of the hash.

New Restaraunts

I've been feeling a little under the weather the past couple of days, so today I decided to go and have some Pho, I tried out a new place, Lemon Grass Cafe. This place was really good, I was fairly surprised. It is located in a spot where many Pho places have died. The food was excellent, had some dishes I have not seen since leaving Fort Worth, they served egg rolls the traditional way with lettuce to wrap them in, plus they have fresh fruit smoothies with tapioca pearls.

The decor is very modern and warm, much like Chon Som. I am definitely going to make this my new place for Pho and other Vietnamese dishes. I have never thought of taking a date to a Vietnamese place, but since finding Lemon Grass, it is a definite possibility.

On the way home, I took a look at Don Luis a new taco place, which also sits in a doomed location. The parking lot was packed, which is great, this place is also a great addition to the North Austin food scene. Bad Jimmy and I stopped in on Saturday, between the two of us, we tried about 5 different types of tacos. The quality is much higher than Taco Deli and the tacos are about $1.25 to $2.50 cheaper.

I give both these restaurants a big thumbs up. Both places have put in for a liquor license. Don Luis will actually give you a beer if you tip them before hand.

If anyone has a place they would like me to review, please post. Or if you are scared to try a new place, I can tag along.

Well off to bed and dreaming of my next culinary adventure.

I feel like I should post.

Don't really have all that much to say.
Mad Cowboys were great on Friday.
It was good to hang out with Corey and Bad Jimmy on Saturday.
Todd (Crotch Rot's) bday celebration was fun, but at the same time made a lot of us sad, does not seem like has been gone that long.
Superbowl and hot tubbing, excellent!

Prizes from the weekend include a Miller Lite inflatable chair, a Grey Goose hat and a Jager shirt.

I am really happy my schedule changes at the end of this week, I will have a more normal schedule, Monday-Friday 10:30-7:30. Hopefully all those jokes about me never working will go away, I doubt it.

My sisters birthday is tomorrow, I wish I could be at home and bully her into going out to whatever place I would like to eat. Mmmmm, some tortilla soup from Benito's.

Well I have posted and yet I feel I have accomplished nothing.
