TXIH Update

Budget has been approved, we are in negotiations with two bands that both meet the budget requitements. There will be a band. They may suck, they may not, just shut up drink and dance. So now Browneye, quit bitching about no band and recruit more chics from Colorado. Hot chics. Scrtatch that, make them easy, Ring and Squeezin need all the help they can get.
On-On to TXIH 2006

Feeling Much Better

Last night I went home somewhat early, I hung around the meting for a while hanging out with the stragglers. I had a couple of beers, just because everyone was in shock I was not drinking. I went home and read for an hour and was asleep by 1:00 am. This morning I woke up somewhat refreshed, I did something I hardly ever do, I ate breakfast. Since my blood sugar has been off, I thought it was a pretty good idea. I have now been at work for 2 hours and I am completely focused, not tired and having a pretty good day so far. What makes it better is it is Mardi Gras and there is a party going on all day about 10 feet from my desk, so i will be grazing all day for food. Just had a couple of yummy cookies. Being that it is Mardi Gras, I guess I am morally obligated to go eat at Sambet's once again. HELL YEAH! Anyone know of any good Mardi Gras celebrations tonight in A-town? I know I should probably stay in, but you know the whole lent thing is coming up (I have actually been practicing lent for the past couple of years, long story but it gives me an excuse to have sushi on Fridays). This year i will give up Peanuts and Hot Sauce (the combination, could not give them up individually, I would die). This is my favorite snack, and I eat it about 4 times a week, soshould be pretty tough. Guess I will need to buy other snack food, maybe I will look into chips. Had a discussion with a special person last night about chips being a good snack food. So maybe I will give it a shot. Well the party is calling me back, later kids. Leave comments on what is going on tonight.

I feel like crap

My blood sugar has been off since Saturday, thus the reason I didn't meet many of you guys on Saturday night. I think I might be getting sick again which totally sucks. I have not felt this run-down in quite a while. I tried to take tomorrow off, but their is no availability, so I pretty much screwed until Wednesday. I thought having a decent lunch will make me feel better, but no go. I wish I could just go home and go to sleep tonight, but I have a junta meeting to attend. Hopefully we will decide on the music budget so I can book the band. That would be nice to have completed. Well i am done whining.
ciao

Not for sure about lunch today

Any suggestions?

Again with the cajun

I know I already talked about Sambets once this week, but I jus went and DAMN it was good. So good news is their music season starts next Saturday. So bands on Friday and Saturday. Better news, crawfish are in season adn the owner is in Loiusiana buying some right now. So that means the next time I go, I can get the poblano crawfish chowder. Today i had the same lunch as I had on Monday, I think it actually tasted better today. Maybe it was the habenero sauce I used today made it better. The taste of fresh crab is so satisfying for me, so every bit of the bisque I had was pure heaven. I cannot tell you how good my stomach feels, I wish I didn't have to work so I coud enjoy this sensation.

Bangkok Cuisine

Last night was great fun. Attendees included, The Body, Tits R 4 Tricks, Massive Slutslinger, Brrrr, Great Dane Pain, Just Amanda, Free Meat, Heavin Semen (briefly), Try A Fuck and of course myself. The food was really fantastic, I had high expectations since I really enjoy Gene's other restaurant, but he exceeded them. Everyone ordered appetizers or had soup. Agood deal of them ordered this chicken that just seemed amazing, TAF had 2 one for an appetizer and one to take home. I had steamed mussles, usually when you order mussles for an appetizer you get six or eight, I lost count on how many I had, I was giving them away since I had so many. The mussels were served with a chili sauce which was quite exceptional. Then it was on to the entrees, I had chicken in a green curry. Those of you who know me well, know this is my favorite dish and I am quite picky about it. I Pee Freely makes the best, but this is very close. Each bite was simply heaven. I usually am unable to finish all my food, but last night I ate every bite of that curry. Other dishes that looked good were TAF's seafod medley, Brrrr's Pad Thai, Padre and Great Dane both ordered a red chile based dish that they both seemed to thoroughly enjoy. I really look forward to discovering all the dishes on the menu. If anyone is up for thai food and want to give this place a try, give me a call! I am looking for an excuse to go back!

Afterwards it was of to Grafitti's, TAF, Body and T4T did not make it. When we were there we met up with Ring Around the Panty (and non-hasher friends), Strap-On Elvis, @ss Gagger and Just Leslie. Possibly some others, I went from 0 to drunk fairly quickly, double fisting shots of jager. I wanted to get drinking out of my system before I returned to work tomorrow. Thanks Slut for driving last night. Be smart designate!

So again, if someone would like to eat at Bangkok Cuisine, email or call me!

It has finally happened

I have become completely desensitized to everything. I am sitting here watching The Aristocrats and nothing they are saying is offending or disgusting me. Maybe I have been hashing way too long. What is bad, is I think I might be able to make the joke more disgusting than most of the people in this. I like the idea that this joke, has an intro and a closing and the middle is completely improptu. All you need is a little scat, incest, gloden showers, maybe a rusty trombone or two and a little beastiality and you got a joke. To hear these comedians say they they have told the joke and it took a couple of hours, I could totally see that, maybe even do it (need to get this out of my system now, otherwise it will become some drunken bet I will lose). If you have not seen this film, watch it now!

Bangkok Cuisine Update

I have just received word the Bangkok Cuisine does not have a liquor liscense, so it is BYOB. That should make things some what interesting. See everyone tomorrow at 7:30.

Road Rage

I am totally ordering this

Bush Joke

I am reposting this, I picked it up here

So George W. Bush is hanging out in the Oval Office, listen to Dick Cheney brief him about the day's developments in the War On Terror. "And finally, sir, today we lost five Brazilian soldiers to a suicide bomb attack." "Oh my God!" Bush says, putting his face into his hands. "This is terrible. Terrible." "But sir," Cheney replies, "we lose soldiers every day. That is the price of freedom. I've never seen you this upset. What's the matter?" Bush looks up and says, "How many is 'a Brazilian'?"

Oh and I am hitting up Fire Bowl at 2:00 for lunch. Thing Ring Around The Panty will be there too if anyone wants to go.

Happy Belly

I had quite the problem today, I really wanted Thai food, but the thing is I am eating Thai the next two days. I could eat Thai everyday, but I didn't really want to have it for lunch. The place I was planning on going is good, but not super authentic. So for some reason I decided to have cajun, I don't know what made cajun pop in my head. I decided to head to Sambets Cajun & Fiery Deli. I have not been there for quite a while. This place is truly a treasure, the food is wonderful, the music is good and they sell an assload of different hot sauces. I decided to with a quarter of a muffeletta and some asparagus and crab bisque (I usually go with the crawfish poblano chowder but they were all out). The muff was great as always, the olive salad they put on it is really wonderful. For those of you who are not into olives, you can get it without it. I was really surprised by the bisque, not a huge aspargus fan, only ordered it because I wanted soup. But is was really really good, so very glad I did. You could really taste the freshness of the crab.
I used to go to Sambet's quite often, but I have not been in about six months. I used to go with co-workers, but since I have been eating alone, never thought to go there. I am so glad I went today, I am putting them back into my regular rotation of lunch spots.
Some extra incentives for me to go, they are now Wi-Fi and they have Zydeco Bands on the weekends. This place is very Austin, they sell shirts that say, "Friends don't let friends eat muffelettas at Jason's Deli"
This last sentence is for Tuck It and DBD. IF you have never been here, GO!!!! It is down the street from you guys. It is on SpiceWood Springs in the same shopping center as Big Lots. Their website is down right now, otherwise I would have included the link.

Wednesday Night

On Wednesday, some of us will be meeting for dinner, this is an open invite to everyone. For those of you who do not know, the owner of Thai Passion has taken over Bangkok Cuisine. This place has a really good client base for lunch, but dinner crowds have always been a little weak because of the location. The owner is giving a 20% discount on the dinner meals right now. The food there is great. Most of us live really close to this place so the commute for us should be no problem.
Afterwards we will be heading to Graffiti's for a little karaoke. All are in invited! Be there at 7:30.

Of Breakfast Tacos and Screwdrivers

Saturday after work, I headed over to Heavin Semen's house for a pre-marathon sign making party. In attendance were Big Bloody Ketchup, Father Syphilis, Strap-On Elvis, @ss Gagger, Squeef, Cumonawanalaya, Just Barbara, Brrrr, Beaver Cleaver, Tornanalsoreass Rex, Cornholio and Baby G. We had a pretty good time making the signs and planting a clear dildo to take pics with, Several good ones were take of Elvis passed out with it, unfortunately he deleted them. I left the dildo stuck to Heavins back door, hopefully it is still there, it was quite funny.
Sunday morning, those of us who had stayed over (Padre, Heavin, Gagger, Elvis and Baby G) walked to the marathon with our signs. We of course had screwdrivers handy. I am sure the runners appreciated us being there, mant people laughed at the sign I was holding (Cornholio's design) it basically had a lot of text saying that reading this sign was pointless and you were wasting your time. After the runners passed, Gagger and I went shopping, grabbed some clothes the runners had discarded, most of this stuff ends up in the trash so we saw no harm in doing this. We also took some interesting pics of statues outside of the Austin auction house.
We were then off to get breakfast tacos and head to the Austin H3 beer check at mile 22 and 25. I never thought I would enjoy giving beer away, but I had a blast. It was great offering beer and twizlers to the runners and cheering them on. Good job to Bubbles the Sad Beer Clown for getting there so early to setup and get the kegs tapped.
After the race, we headed to Taco Cabana and then the hash. I still had to auto-wank (stupid ankle). In circle I was given my mug back that I had lost on Super Bowl Sunday, of course iut was filled with a mixtures of beers and the contents of the Flask Of Doom. Death By Dildo bet me I couldn' drink the contants in one drink, I of course one, woohoo 3 weeks of hash cash.
All-in-All this weekend was a blast.
On-On to Lil Woodrows tonight.

Tired

I am freaking exhausted. Yesterday, I decided to extend my stay in Brenham by another day and leave there this morning, going directly to my office. What's that you say, Fish can't make it to work on time when he is 5 minutes from the office, how the hell is he going to make it when he is an hour and a half away.

Last night was great, WS and I just chilled ordered pizza and watched the Olympics, well she watched and I read. Then it was off to The B.A.R. (forgot the first word in the acronym, so I will just call it Booze And Racks). We played pool and a llittle trivia, we kicked ass on the trivia.

The night before I met pretty much the entire Brenham Kennel at The B.A.R., Gymnophobia, Hound Dog and Rolling Nutless. They have all registered for TXIH so will be cool to see them again.

This morning I woke up and was completely exhausted. It was nice to find out that WS is as big a morning hater as I am. On my way WS gave me a coke for the road, normally I don't drink caffeinated drinks, but today I thought I could use it. On the way to my car, I dropped the coke and it starting spraying coke all over the place. Classic move on my part. The drive to work went pretty quickly and I arrived a full 10 minutes early, which gave me a chance to catch up on email.

Today I will probably be cranky all day, I will probably miss the party I am supposed to go to tonight. But in the end, if you asked me if I would stay the night and leave in the morning again, I would say yes. Why, you ask, when I am so tired and cranky, simply said, time spent with her is totally worth it.

March 14th

Ladies don't forget Steak and BJ Day.

Live From Brenham

It's the Day Old Fish show live from Brenham the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream. So last night I arrive and my girl is just looking scrumptious. The lights are low and she has a candle lit dinner waiting for me. The food was great, the mood was wonderful (Olyimpics in the background). She gave me a beer before offering champagne, she knows me so well. We pretty much vegged for the night. Ate, watched Wedding Crashers and finally ended up asleep somewhere before three.

This morning I was left all alone at her place. No worries, I brought The Aristocrats, plus a book. That and I am going to go explore the big town of Brenham. I think I will do it on foot.

So I wonder if I will get to meet the three other Brenham hashers today. It would be good, since they are all going to TXIH (register now if you haven't yet). Here's something interesting, right beside her display is the Hooters CD I loaned her. Yes, I am the only person on the planet to have the Hooters on CD.

Well I am off to explore Brenahm, after a beer of course.

Valentine's Day Rocks

#1. People are going to be horribly disappointed all day (nothing like the misery of others to make you feel better about youself).
#1a. The satisisfcation I am getting from all you chics posting you hate VD day, come on we all have fond memories of being in elementary school and getting a note from a secret admirer. We have all had at least one good Valentine's day. I am letting Boulder Holder off on this one, she has a legitimate reason to be upset today.
#2. There is candy all over the place, so all those losers who made resolutions about losing weight, eating less sweets and the such are breaking it for a hallmark holiday.
#3. Most people are only anti-VD day because they are alone. And those that do have someone to go home to say they hate it because of the commercialism. True the commercialism is bad, but unexpected VD gift can really brighten things. It is one of the few holidays men will not miss. Annivarsaries, birthdays, mothers day, we miss all those for a reason. We turn on the radio right now we will hear, go buy a diamond, of course we won't, we will end up at the grocery store canabalizing what flowers are left. But in the end we do it for one reason and one reason only, we want you to feel appreciated, it would be great if we did it on some other basis, but hey we are men.
#4. Back to #2, all that VD candy will be on sale tomorrow and people are just going to get fatter.
#5. Back in my single days, I could hit up a bar everyday for the next week and take home some chic who was disappointed over her Valentine's.
#6. I have someone to go home to tonight.. SO SUCK IT!

Seriously people, it is only a day. Don't get depressed, don't say you hate it. Some people get a little joy from today, and the world needs a little more happiness.

You can learn more about Valentine's Day at the History Channel. To learn more about VD (the bad kind) go here.

Smoking Ban Bullshit

I would like to say that I am one of the biggest anti-smoking advocates out there. I am allergic to tobacco, cigars make me deathly ill. The hipocracy I see with this whole smoking ban, just makes me angry. If you want to stop smoking make it a nation wide thing, city wide, do something other than targeting certain establishments. Don't target places where people accept smoking. I hate smoking, yet I frequent bars, I accept it, it is my choice. People who don't want to be around smoking should go to smoke free bars, there are plenty of them out there.

Tonight I was at a bar with Padre, I Pee Freely and Free Meat. I would say more the 80% of the patrons of this bar were smoking. This bar was packed. Since the smoking ban came into effect in Austin, only one bar stands to be prosecuted for allowing smoking. Would it be the bar I was in tonight? No, it is a bar called Mickeys Thirsty. Mickeys is a very small bar that on a good night may have 20 customers, unlike the bar I was at tonight that probably saw five times that amount. So what sets these bars apart, what makes one different from the other? Both bars are pretty much dives. Both bars you would walk in expecting to see smoke. So really what sets them apart? The bar I was in tonight leases their property, it is a strip mall bar. Mickeys, on the other hand owns their own property. If the bar is forced to shut down, then the owner will most likely be forced to sell. Who stands to gain from this, the city, the owners of Mickeys, or could it be the church that is next door.

The Austin Smoking Ban can really only prosecute establishments where someone has gone into and complained about the smoke and then called the police. Who, honestly would walk into a bar that is basically made out of plywood, see people smoking, go up to the bartender and complain, then go outside and call the authorities? Does this sound like your average plywood bar frequenter? Or could it be a neighbor, who stopped in to use the bathroom real quick in order to make an excuse to prosecute this bar. I have been to plenty of bars that are pretty much not enforcing the smoking ban, why has only one place been targeted. Could it be they are on one of the main streets in Austin? Could it be they are an eye sore to the religious compound next door (not exaggerating, there are several buildings, schools, churches, probably an arsenal)? Honestly, does this seem right? I don't like being the guy that yells conspiracy, but really, no one but a regular would walk into Mickeys, unless they were a hasher, and hell we don't care. Who the hell reported them? The owner cannot afford to pay the fine, nor can they afford to fight this in court. They will be forced to sell. Again i want to say that smoking is a horrible thing, and I seriously hate it. But when it comes to the Austin ban, see my title.

stepping off the soap box.

Welcome the New Blog Geek

Ice the bitch, She Mussel Bitch,
Numb, the price you have to pay,
Sit, right there and down that beer,
Yes, you pissed off the R.A.

Of Splints and chile reillenos

Yesterday, finally made it to my doc. No breaks or fractures but a pretty bad sprain. So I am stuck in a splint for the next three weeks. I can run on the streets once the pain goes away, but no trail running or at least three weeks. So I should have no problem being ready for The Maze.

Last night headed to Chuy's for some Jalepeno Ranch with @ss Gagger and Social Retard. I had a couple of Mexican Martini's and way too much Jalepeno Ranch (I know there is never enough), but I ordered Chile Reillenos (however they are spelled). I only had a couple bites of them because I ate so much Jalepeno Ranch. Then it was off to the Draught House to meet the Pluckers softball team, which consisted of a few hashers: Strap-On Elvis, Hippie Swallow and Just Ricky. The usual Shenanigans ensued. During the night found out that Just Ricky hates to be called bitch, think there is a name in there somewhere. Many pitchers were drank and somehow I made it home, with a brief stop at the Exxon across the street for drunken munchies. No Chili Dogs so I had to settle for an Italien Sub and microwave burrito.

Today should be heading to Barton Creek to pick up an iPod for the Thai Association Party, then to Dry Creek Saloon and possibly Rovers afterwards. Of course that means I will have to make it out of bed first.

Ankle

Well it has been a week and the swelling has not gone down, so I made an appointment to go see my doc. I really hope nothing serious is going on. I have finally cleared my lungs out and I was feeling really good the last time I ran. Hopefully I will be able to run again soon. I would like to be ready for the Rogue series, which is starting in April. I would like to do the 30K, but may have to settle for the 10K unless I can get some series running time in before. This really sucks. Well I will keep you guys updated, going in on Wednesday morning.

The MAZE is our 1st TRAIL event! It ain't flat, dry, or strait. But it is FUN. The biggest danger is the other runners. Beware the veteran trail runners. They will run full tilt thru the streams, splash thru the mud, and score your face plants. Walnut Creek offers you the opportunity to beat 'The Maze' The course winds through a challenging mess of trees, crosses a few creeks, climbs a few hills, but mostly follows a well worn and very confusing labyrinth of trails. If you’ve never been to Walnut Creek, I suggest a map, some food, and plenty of water. You will get lost (unless you have already been here many times, and maybe even then) Keep in mind that we will mark this trail so that nobody gets lost during the race, but try if you dare to run this park before or after the event. The map will do you little good. A GPS might work better or a trail of crumbs.

I did this one lastyear, it was a blast. WCP is one of my favorite places to run, because you always find something new when you go.

New Kennel at TXIH

Was checking out the TXIH Who's Cummin and I see a new kennel listed. We have a representative coming from the Brokeback Mountain H3. For those of you who don't know this is a super secret gay hash, and sightings of these hashers are rare. It is good to see this guy has finally come out of the closet. He's here, he's queer, give him a beer. Or a zinf or something like that.

In 1993 interview with Barbara Walters, Chuck Norris admitted to once punching a hurricane in the face. Walters retorted, "Hurricanes have eyes, but don't, in fact, have faces." to which Norris replied, "Watch your mouth, Hurricane Walters"

The character Superman is loosely based on Chuck Norris. Loosely only because Superman has a weakness.

Chuck Norris was intended to play Luke in Star Wars, but Chuck decided that Luke was too much of a bitch.

Chuck Norris once made love to a Sasquatch. This resulted in the birth of George W. Bush, and the Sasquatch contacting an incurable form of Syphillis, known as "The Norris Clap".

There is a little bit of Chuck Norris in each and every one of us. Mainly due to rape.

The ex-porn star Savannah tried to deep throat Chuck Norris. Savannah is now dead.

Chuck Norris was only in a wheel chair once in his life... so he could take down Steven Hawking fairly.

Kevin Sorbo once passed Chuck Norris in the park and said, "Hey, nice beard" sarcastically. Chuck Norris became angry, and roundhouse kicked Sorbo in the face. Astonishingly, Sorbo got back up after such a mighty blow. This further angered Chuck Norris to the point where he ripped out Sorbo's jaw, sodomized him with an ice cream cone, and ate his flesh in front of many children. This event has been commemorated with a limited-edition dinner plate and later became the basis for the television show "Grace Under Fire".

Chuck Norris once raped the devil just to hear him scream.

In the movie "Back to the Future" they used Chuck Norris' Delorean to go back into time and into the future. When they gave it back to him with a scratch on it he was angry and roundhouse kicked Michael J. Fox, which years later was the cause of his Parkinson's disease.

Chuck Norris once snorted cocaine, shot heroin, tripped on acid, smoked weed, and took shots of pure grain alcohol. Nine months later, Michael Jackson was born.

Lost Dog

Today I checked my email and there was one waiting from my Mom. She has been checking out the Austin Animal Shelters website on a daily basis keeping an eye out for Spike. Yesterday there was a dog found that matched the description of my dog. For about an hour today I had the hope of getting my dog back. It felt good. Of course when I get there, it is not my dog. I made a double walk through of the shelter checking and double checking in case they had not posted it to the web site. I also checked the lost book to make sure my post was still in there and checked the found file cabinet, still no go. At least I had hope for a little while, and of course if she send me another email I will go back. I would like to thank my Mom for checking on him so regularly, also my Sister for keeping my Mom and I sane through this.

A lot of people tell me maybe he is in a good home. I don't see how it could be a good home. He had a harness on him, those things are hard to get off. If he just had a collar on him I could see maybe it coming off and someone finding a dog and keeping it. A harness doesn't come off unless a person takes it off. So if some one found him and kept him, they are not providing a good home, they are simply stealing a dog. Enough of my rant
